Drinking Water
UV disinfection for drinking water is globally-recognised as a safe, effective, sustainable and inexpensive method of providing potable water.
UV Water Disinfection for Drinking Water Treatment
UV systems for drinking water exceed the performance of chemical-based alternatives – without affecting the taste or odour of the water. UV disinfection is also proven to inactivate or destroy 99.9% of micro-organisms commonly found in sources such as bore water, rain water, dam water and river water. This includes harmful, chlorine-resistant pathogens such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia that can cause unpleasant health complications if consumed.
UV disinfection should be used in conjunction with the correct drinking water filter or overall filtration or treatment system to ensure the water is to a standard suitable for the UV to optimally perform.
