UV light is invisible to the human eye, with wavelengths shorter than visible light. UV light’s energy is commonly used for sterilisation and curing materials.

Fluorescent light, on the other hand, is visible light produced by a fluorescent lamp. A phosphor coating transforms UV light inside the fluorescent lamp into this visible light that is used for illumination.
