With proper care, your UV purifier should last up to 12 months. At this point, you’ll probably need to do some basic maintenance like changing the bulb. Some purifiers also have an indicator light that will let you know when it’s time to replace the bulb.

Clean the quartz sleeve and chamber regularly, as dirt build-up will reduce the ability of UV light to penetrate the water and properly disinfect it. Regularly check the water flow rate to ensure that it is at the recommended level for your specific purifier. A decrease in flow rate may indicate that maintenance is needed or a part needs to be replaced.
